History

2017 May: serverDNA 1 – We kicked off with a bang, starting small but with an audacious goal to ignite the gaming and esports scene. Held in Subang Jaya, we attracted a raw, hungry crowd of 200 attendees, all driven by the same passion for gaming and esports. It wasn’t just an event—it was a movement that showcased the unapologetic energy and relentless drive of youth determined to excel, learn, and grow. From the very beginning, we proved that when young people come together, nothing is too big to conquer.

2017 Oct: Riding the wave of success from serverDNA 1, we were determined to push the limits even further. Just six months later, we launched serverDNA 2, and the impact was undeniable. The event saw an incredible 700 attendees—a threefold increase—that showcased the explosive growth and deep passion of the gaming and esports communities. Held at Four Points Puchong, serverDNA 2 became the ultimate gathering for gamers and esports enthusiasts. The event was made even more memorable with the return of Muhammed “Flava” Farouq as our host, bringing his energy and charisma to the stage. With even more sponsors joining us, we were able to elevate the experience and bring bigger and better things to the community. serverDNA 2 proved that we were just getting started—setting a new benchmark for what was possible in the world of gaming and esports.

2018 April: MainFrame I – As we evolved and pushed forward, we recognized the explosive potential of streamers and the need for a community built to support them. We didn’t just watch the trend—we decided to own it. MainFrame I was born out of that vision, and it was nothing short of a game-changer. Held in a bungalow in Rawang, this exclusive 3-day, 2-night event brought together 50 of the most promising streamers, each one hungry to network, learn, and grow. It wasn’t just about fun—it was about pushing limits, exchanging knowledge, and building connections that would fuel their rise to the top. No fluff. No holding back. MainFrame I was an intense, no-holds-barred experience that forged new partnerships, honed skills, and laid the foundation for a powerhouse streamer community. As we provided the space and resources, the streamers came together to spark the next level of growth in the industry. It wasn’t just another event—it was a launchpad for the next wave of stars. And we were right there, driving the change.

2018 Sept: serverDNA 3 – We weren’t just raising the bar, we were shattering it. After two successful events, serverDNA 3 was all about taking it to the next level and delivering a full-throttle, high-energy experience. Held once again at Four Points Puchong, this event saw a dramatic shift in content with the introduction of the Mousepad Party, thrilling lucky draw sessions, deeper insights through more sharing, intense esports competitions, and jaw-dropping showcases from even more sponsors. The crowd? A staggering 1,100 attendees, each one there to experience the adrenaline-fueled evolution of gaming culture. We didn’t stop there. For the first time, we introduced our cutting-edge registration and lucky draw automation system, ensuring a seamless and next-gen experience for everyone involved. serverDNA 3 was more than just an event—it was a statement that we weren’t just participating in the scene; we were defining it. The momentum was undeniable, and we were ready to push even harder.

2019 May: MainFrame II – We came back harder, smarter, and more determined than ever. This time, we weren’t just playing the game—we were changing the rules. Moving to the prestigious Le Méridien Hotel in Putrajaya, MainFrame II took things to a whole new level. We brought together 50 of the fiercest streamers and influencers for an intense 2 nights and 3 days of nonstop networking, learning, and grinding. The rooms, the food, the activities—everything was designed to make them better, stronger, and more connected. By this time, the terms “streamers” and “influencers” were becoming household names in the industry—thanks to platforms like Facebook Gaming, but we didn’t want to just keep up with the trend. We wanted to set the standard and create something bigger. MainFrame II was all about building a community, not a business. No corporate agendas, no shallow sponsorships—just pure, unfiltered growth. And we didn’t do it alone. The support from some of the biggest brands in the industry proved we weren’t just a fleeting movement; we were here to stay. MainFrame II wasn’t just an event—it was a defining moment in the evolution of the streaming and influencer culture.

2019 Sept: serverDNA 4 – We took things to a whole new level. There was no holding back. With powerhouses like the Predator League and World Cosplay Summit Malaysia, serverDNA 4 became the ultimate gathering, breaking all expectations. The event exploded with a flood of showcases, dynamic content, and high-profile appearances, including the Federal Territory Minister and key industry leaders. Held at the iconic Le Méridien Putrajaya, a five-star venue that matched the event’s sheer scale, we saw a staggering 6,000 unique attendees come together to witness history in the making. This was no longer just an event—it was a milestone in the gaming and cosplay scene, where ambition, passion, and innovation collided in a way that left everyone wanting more.

2020 Jan to April: serverDNA ReachOut – We knew the next step was to break free from the confines of Klang Valley and take serverDNA to the rest of the country. It wasn’t enough to stay in one place—we were on a mission to spread the energy and passion of our events nationwide. Our plan was ambitious: a seven-city tour covering the north, south, and east coast of Malaysia. From Ipoh, Penang, and Alor Setar in the north to Seremban, Melaka, and Johor Bahru in the south, and finishing with Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu, and Kota Bharu on the east coast.

We didn’t hold back on the experience either. In Alor Setar, we saw 250 attendees; 350 in Penang; 750 in Kuantan; and an epic 1,200 in Kota Bharu. The same high-energy serverDNA experience that people loved was brought to each city—esports, showcases, competitions, and all the excitement of the main events, right at their doorstep. But as we were picking up steam, the pandemic hit, forcing a lockdown before we could finish our tour. We were only able to complete four cities, but even then, we left an unforgettable mark on everyone who joined us. We’ll be back stronger than ever, but the serverDNA ReachOut tour proved that no matter where we go, the power of community and passion can’t be stopped.

2020 July – June 2021: serverDNA 5 – The pandemic threw a curveball, but we didn’t just adapt—we dominated. With the world on lockdown, we took serverDNA 5 online, and the results were nothing short of explosive. In just three hours, we amassed a staggering 800,000 views, proving that our community’s hunger for gaming content was unstoppable.

But we didn’t stop there. We launched four dynamic YouTube TV shows to keep the momentum going:

  • Anel & Friends: A deep dive into the world of cosplay, bringing fans closer to their favorite characters and creators.
  • Talk Esports with Flava: Hosted by the charismatic Muhammed “Flava” Farouq, this show dissected the latest in esports, offering insights and interviews with industry leaders.
  • Matters of Esports: A comprehensive look at the esports landscape, discussing trends, challenges, and the future of competitive gaming.
  • No Tech Tash: Focused on technology, this show explored the gadgets, software, and innovations shaping the gaming world.
  • Game Night with Steven Bones: Hosted by Steven Bones, this show featured live gaming sessions, reviews, and discussions, bringing the gaming community together.

Each show ran for four seasons, with 12 episodes per season, ensuring a consistent stream of content that kept our audience engaged and connected.

This strategic move wasn’t just about maintaining engagement—it was about building a stronger, more connected community. By bringing the serverDNA experience online and diversifying our content, we ensured that, even in the face of adversity, our community continued to grow, learn, and thrive together.

2021 June: serverDNA 6 – After a long hiatus, we were finally back on the ground, but we didn’t just jump in—we made sure to do it right. With the pandemic still lingering, we went hybrid, bringing the best of both worlds: an intimate on-ground event with 400 in-person attendees and a live broadcast that reached fans across the country. This wasn’t just a return—it was a revolution. For the first time, RFL made its debut at serverDNA, setting a whole new standard for the event and pushing the boundaries of what we could deliver. But that wasn’t all. We upped our cosplay game with the stunning Angels Maid Café, adding even more energy and excitement to an already electrifying event. Despite the challenges, we made sure the experience felt just as thrilling as before—intense, innovative, and bigger than anything else out there. serverDNA 6 wasn’t just about returning; it was about proving we could evolve, adapt, and keep raising the bar, no matter the circumstances.

2022 Sept: serverDNA 7 rebranded to NoizuCon – The industry was shifting, and so were we. As the trends in gaming, cosplay, and entertainment evolved, serverDNA had to evolve with them. NoizuCon was born out of this need to adapt, bringing together everything we loved about serverDNA while integrating fresh, exciting elements. Our fan base had grown massively, and with that came new challenges in managing such a large and diverse community. Micro-managing became unsustainable, so we pushed forward with a rebranding to NoizuCon, focusing on delivering better quality engagement and creating massive opportunities for our audience.

The inaugural NoizuCon 2022 was a monumental leap, met with mixed reactions as we sought to bridge the gap between cosplay and gaming enthusiasts. But we were the first to take that step, and we didn’t just stop there. We expanded the event’s horizons by adding Anime J-Rock concerts, more immersive cosplay experiences, and deeper integration with esports, creating a richer and more diverse event for everyone involved. The energy was electric, with 4,500 attendees at Le Méridien Putrajaya. NoizuCon wasn’t just an event; it was a bold statement that we were ready to lead the charge in this new era, bringing the gaming, anime, cosplay, and music communities together in ways no one had ever seen before.

2023 Sept: NoizuCon 2023 – This year, NoizuCon 2023 took an explosive leap, leveling up in ways no one could have predicted. With a jaw-dropping 7,000 unique attendees flooding into the Kuala Lumpur Convention Hall, we turned the volume up to 11. This wasn’t just another event—it was a full-scale cultural takeover.

We went global by inviting international stars like PAINS and INUISAN, brought talents to the stage, elevating the experience to a level of hype and excitement only Noizu can deliver. And we didn’t stop there. We secured the exclusive IP for the World Cosplay Summit Malaysia, hosting an epic competition that had the cosplay world buzzing. But the real game-changer? A purpose-built stage for the RFL Orchestra, alongside heart-pounding concerts that kept the energy electrified from start to finish.

And for the ultimate twist? We unleashed VOICES, a dual combat singing competition with live bands that turned up the heat to an insane level. Performers went head-to-head in an epic battle, backed by live music and an audience that was ready to explode. NoizuCon 2023 wasn’t just an event; it was a movement—a celebration of everything we stand for and everything we’ve yet to achieve.

2024 Sept: NoizuCon 2024 took things to an entirely new level, held for the first time at Multi Media University in a sprawling 26,000 sqft space. Over 3 days, 6,700 unique attendees flooded in to experience a groundbreaking event filled with jaw-dropping moments. Highlights included the return of the RFL Orchestra, the high-energy World Cosplay Summit competition, and the intense Nakayi Cycling Competition that added a fresh twist. Fans also enjoyed the Brightstar IT Fair, the thrilling Kaki Tabletop Board Game Competition, and the cutting-edge Sades Technology Showcase, all culminating in a massive 250k worth of giveaways.

NoizuCon 2024 wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of everything Noizu stands for. From cosplay to esports, tech to cycling, we brought together the best of the gaming and pop culture world. The buzz was unreal, with something for everyone and an atmosphere that couldn’t be matched. This was the largest and most dynamic NoizuCon yet, and we’re just getting started—expect even bigger things next year!
